The Milpitas Fire Department Office of Emergency Services (OES) coordinates the City's preparedness efforts to mitigate against, plan for, respond to and recover from natural and technological disasters. To meet this commitment, OES...

Cooperates closely with Santa Clara County OES, all other cities in the County and special districts including the County's flood management agency, the Santa Clara Valley Water District.

What can you do to be disaster ready? Interested in volunteering your time and skills? Plan Ahead!
· Become a member of Strategic Actions For Emergencies, Milpitas' CERT program
· Develop a home safety emergency plan. Contact OES for your copy
· Be winter weather safe. Contact Santa Clara Valley Water District.
· Join Milpitas Volunteer Partners. Contact the City's Volunteer Coordinator.
· Do you have an Amateur Radio License? Join ARES/RACES
· Interested in a Fire career? Investigate the Community Fire Aide program
· Interested in a Police career? Investigate the Police Explorer program
