City of Milpitas Parks & Rental Facilities

Many City parks and facilities may be reserved for a variety of functions throughout the year. Rental fees vary by facility type and reservations are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. There is a $15 non-refundable application fee for all park and facility reservation applications, in addition to any applicable rental and insurance fees. This application fee is already included in the park reservation fees.

Community Center, Senior Center (Sal Cracolice Building), Sports Center, Teen Center and Jose Higuera Adobe Building facility reservations can be made up to a year in advance by Milpitas residents and up to 6 months in advance by non-residents. Rooms accommodating 25 to 300 people along with other amenities are available. Please call the center you are interested in and ask to have detailed facility rental information mailed to you. All fees and facility rules and regulations are subject to change.
 

Park Reservations
Park reservations can be made up to a year in advance by Milpitas residents and up to 6 months in advance by non-residents. Park reservations must be made a minimum of 5 business days in advance. Park Rental Fees: Small Parks (less than 50 people capacity) is $35* per day for residents, $49* per day for non-residents. Large Parks (50+ capacity) is $55* per day for residents, $69* per day for non-residents. These rental fees include the $15 non-refundable application fee. *Depending on the type of event, additional charges and/or insurance may be required. Please Note: All fees and facility rules and regulations are subject to change.
 
Picnic Kit Rentals
Picnic kits, complete with frisbee, softball bat, softball, football, horseshoes, soccer ball and volleyball with net, are available to rent. Junior Picnic Kits are also available at no additional cost when renting picnic kits. A Junior Kit includes child size football, soccerball, playground ball, wiffle ball and bat and jumprope. A $150.00 refundable deposit is required, plus a non-refundable rental fee of $12.50 per day for residents and resident businesses ($25 per day for non-residents and non-resident businesses).   1. Milpitas Community Center
    This facility is the site for many of the City's recreation classes and activities. It houses many recreation and community service programs. Reservations for City parks and facilities should be made here in person. Located at 457 E. Calaveras Blvd., directly behind City Hall. (408) 586-3210. Map
     
  2. 160 N. Main Street facility is closed for renovations and is the future home of the Milpitas Public Library. Map
     
  3. Milpitas Sports Center
    This center provides sports and fitness classes and programs. Locker room and shower facilities, a fitness room with universal and free weights, stair masters, and lifecycles, drop-in basketball, aerobics, water exercise, lap swimming and a variety of other sports programs are offered year-round. Located at 1325 E. Calaveras Blvd., east of N. Park Victoria. (408) 586-3225.
     
    Teen Center
    This center provides drop-in and scheduled activities for teens, ages 12-17. The facility has pool, ping-pong, foosball tables, a big screen TV, video games and computers. Various activities are scheduled throughout the year, including trips, dances, band nights and tournaments. The Teen Center adjacent to the Sports Center, located at 1325 E.   4. Milpitas Community Library
    As a branch in the library system of Santa Clara County, special programs are offered including story hours, video and compact disc checkout. Located at 40 N. Milpitas Blvd., beside City Hall and the Community Center. (408) 262-1171. Map
      
  5. Ben Rodgers Park
    A lovely 9.5 acre park with 6 barbecue pits and picnic tables, a backstop, play equipment, and Parking for 30. (Grand Teton at Sequoia) Map
      
  6. Calle Oriente Mini-Park
    A nice neighborhood park with two handball courts, two tables, and play equipment. (Calle Oriente off N. Park Victoria) Map
      
  7. Cardoza Park
    This 10-acre park features a lighted ball diamond, two horse-shoe pits, volleyball poles, and an outdoor amphitheater. A great location for functions, it also includes 8 barbecue pits, 19 tables, restrooms, play equipment, and parking for 133. (Kennedy Dr. at N. Park Victoria) Map
       
  8. Creighton Park
    With 4 barbecue pits, 9 tables, parking for 15, and play equipment, this 5-acre park is a great site for family outings. (Olympic west of S. Park Victoria) Map
      
  9. Dixon Landing Park
    This 11 acre park has 3 tennis courts, 6 barbecue pits, 10 picnic tables, a basketball hoop, play equipment, restrooms, and parking for 84. A terrific place for special gatherings. (Dixon Landing and Milmont) Map
       
  10. Foothill Park
    A nice little 4-acre park that includes 3 barbecue pits, 4 tables, parking for 20, and play equipment. (Roswell Dr. at Roswell Ct.) Map
      
  11. Gill Memorial Park
    This 8.1-acre park has a lighted ball diamond, 3 tennis courts, 2 handball courts, and a basketball court, plus 4 barbecues, 8 tables, play equipment, restrooms, and parking for 20. (Paseo Refugio and Santa Rita) Map
      
  12. Hall Memorial Park
    Two barbecue pits, 6 tables (2 in park and 4 in the Lagoon picnic area), 4 tennis courts, play equipment, restrooms, and parking for 18 make this 9.5-acre park a nice place. (LaHonda and Coyote) Map
      
  13. Hidden Lake Park
    This 6.5-acre park has 2 barbecue pits, 3 tables, parking for 5, and a lake with ducks. A nice place to relax. (N. Milpitas Blvd. between Escuela Pkwy. and Jacklin Rd.) Drop-in only. Map
       
  14. Higuera Adobe Park
    An historic adobe house sits on this 5.5-acre park site with 8 barbecue pits, 16 tables, play equipment, and parking for 20. Plenty of shade trees are a plus. (Wessex off N. Park Victoria) Map
      
  15. Hillcrest Park
    This 5.2-acre park offers 7 barbecue pits, 8 tables, and a tot lot for kids. (Fieldcrest off Crescent) Map
      
  16. Murphy Park
    This 8.7-acre park is a favorite place to gather with the kids. It features plenty of open space, restrooms, play equipment, and a lovely picnic area with 5 barbecue pits, parking for 18, and 6 tables. (Yellowstone east of S. Park Victoria) Map
      
  17. Pinewood Park
    This 8-acre park has 4 tennis courts, 2 barbecue pits, 4 tables, a basketball hoop and a tot lot. (Lonetree and Starlite Dr.) Map
      
  18. Sandalwood Park
    A nice little 3.5-acre neighborhood park good for lunchtime picnics. It features 3 barbecue pits, 3 tables, and play equipment. (Escuela Pkwy. and Russell) Map
      
  19. Selwyn Park
    This .25- acre small neighborhood park provides a playground, barbecue pits, 2 picnic tables, and parking for 10 . (Selwyn Dr. off Dempsey Rd.) Map
      
  20. Sinnott Park
    A nice 4.7 acre park that includes a par course, play equipment, 2 barbecue pits, 3 tables, and parking for 30. (Clear Lake and Tahoe) Map
      
  21. Starlite Park
    The 4 acre park offers a nice place for family fun, with horse-shoe pits, play equipment, 3 barbecue pits, and 5 tables. (Rudyard and Abbott Ave.) Map
      
  22. Strickroth Park
    This 5.7 acre park with parking for 25 offers play equipment, 2 barbecue pits, and 6 tables. (Martil and Gemma off E. Tramway) Map
      
  23. Augustine Memorial Park
    Plenty of open space, plus play equipment, 4 barbecue pits, and 4 tables in this 6 acre park. (Cortez and Coelho off Escuela) Map
      
  24. Jones Memorial Park
    This 5.2 acre park offers a par course, play equipment, 2 barbecue pits, and 5 tables. (Jacklin at Hillview) Map
      
  25. Yellowstone Park
    A great place to play tennis on the 4 lighted courts, with a large grassy area and par course. Restrooms and parking are available across the street. (Yellowstone east of S. Park Victoria) Drop-in only. Map
      
  26. Rancho Softball Field
    Located at Rancho Middle School, this field is a nice place for a game. (1915 Yellowstone) Map
      
  27. Milpitas High Pool
    This facility is the site for a variety of swim programs offered during the summer months. For information on swim lessons and recreation swim, call (408) 586-3225. Located at 1285 Escula Pkwy. Map
      
  28. Senior Center - Sal Cracolice Building
    This facility is the temporary site for the Senior Center. It offers an auditorium, small kitchen, small class room and patio area. Located at 540 S. Abel Street (next to the Post Office). Map
      
  29. Ed Levin County Park
    Owned and maintained by the County of Santa Clara Parks and Recreation Department, this park may be reached via Calaveras Blvd. For information, call (408) 355-2201. Visit the County website for more information

    City of Milpitas Dog Park at Ed Levin (Milpitas Muni Code V-9-7.01):
    • Only dogs, dog handlers, and those persons accompanying them are allowed in the dog park.
    • Dog handlers must be 16 years of age or older. Any person under 16 years of are in the dog park must be accompanied by a person 18 years or older.
    • A dog handler, as defined herein, shall accompany his of her dogs at all times.
    • Dog handlers are responsible for picking up and properly disposing of all feces deposited by their dogs.
    • No more than two dogs per handler will be permitted in the park at one time.
    • Dogs in heat are not permitted in the park.
    • Dogs must be vaccinated and free of communicable illness and disease.
    • Dogs must wear proof of current license.
    • Dogs must be under voice control of their handler.
    • Dogs displaying aggressive or anti-social behavior are not permitted in the park. Upon signs of aggression or anti-social behavior the dog will immediately be required to leave the park.
    • All other City of Milpitas park rules apply to use of the dog park.
    • Only dogs less than 20 inches from the top of the shoulders are allowed in the “Small Dog Area.”
    • Dogs must be leashed when entering and exiting the park.
    • Users of the dog park do so at their own risk. Neither the County nor the City shall be liable for any injury or damage caused by any dog in the dog park.
