If you are looking for a place to have fun, come on down to the Barbara Lee Senior Center! Senior citizens, age 50 years “young” and older, are welcome to participate in the activities and programs offered at the Barbara Lee Senior Center. The Senior Center offers many programs and activities, such as classes, trips, socials and a weekday lunch program.
The Barbara Lee Senior Center is a part of the City of Milpitas Recreation Services. It consists of two buildings. The main building includes an auditorium, game room, reading room, Case Manager, Front Office, and staff offices. The Annex building houses a classroom, art room, music room and dance studio.
Membership is on a yearly basis, running July 1-June 30 of each year. The Activity Card fee is $8 ($6 for Milpitas residents) and includes discounts on certain activities and events, the mailing of our bi-monthly Senior Center Newsletter, and supplemental insurance while attending Senior Center programs. The Activity Card is required to register for any of our trips or classes.
The Milpitas Senior Center was renamed the Barbara Lee Senior Center on April 25, 2006. Barbara Lee served on the Milpitas City Council and was an advocate for our older population.
