The Sports Center has two pools to meet your aquatic needs. The yard and meter pools are used for lap swimming, aquatic exercise and swimming lesson programs. Pool temperatures are maintained at a comfortable 79-84 degrees.
Lap Swim
A great way to stay in shape and build the cardiovascular system with no impact on the body. Pool lanes are designated as slow, medium and fast, allowing swimmers to swim at their own pace.
Arthritis Foundation Aquatic Program
Offered in conjunction with the Northern California Chapter Arthritis Foundation. Emphasis on pain reduction, improved range of motion, fitness, fun and safety. No swimming skills necessary.
Water Exercise
Offering the benefits of land exercises while providing resistance during all movements. Can be adapted to the needs and fitness level of any individual. No swimming skills necessary.

Milpitas Tidal Waves
This competitive United States Swimming Team is open to youth ages 6-18 years old. Practices are held at the Milpitas Sports Center, 1325 E. Calaveras Blvd. and Milpitas High School, 1285 Escuela Parkway. Participants must be able to complete 2 laps each of the freestyle, backstroke and breastroke. Fees:
$50 per month for the 1st child*
$40 per month for the 2nd child*
$30 per month for the 3rd child*
(Non-residents are charged an additional $10 monthly fee)
*Plus $50 annual USS registration fee.
Practice Times:
Monday-Friday, 3:30-6:00pm (time of practice depends on skill level.)
Swim Lessons
Small group lessons are available from highly qualified instructors. Classes have 4-8 participants each. Participants registering in Advanced Swimming must pre-test for this level. Lessons held rain or shine, except in cases of thunder/lighting storms.
