Public Works is responsible for the design, construction and maintenance of the City's infrastructure. It is staffed with 60 full time employees plus additional part time/seasonal workers and
utilizes contract and consultant services in areas such as capital project design, street sweeping and solid wastes/recycling services.
**Sand Bags are now available for Milpitas residents use during the current storm season. Residents can access Sand and Sandbags at the following self-service locations; The Milpitas Public Works Corporation Yard at 1265 North Milpitas Blvd., 8am to 5pm, and the Milpitas Sports Center (Near the Football Field) at 1325 East Calaveras Blvd., anytime day and evening.
