Come and join your neighbors and friends on Saturday, September 15, from 9 a.m. to noon to help clean our waterways during Coastal Cleanup Day. Did you know that last year volunteers picked up nearly 88,000 lbs. of trash from creeks in Santa Clara County? That’s equivalent to the weight of 33 Honda Civics! Our creeks and rivers need our help.
There are currently 45 cleanup sites from which you can choose throughout Santa Clara County, including Coyote Creek, Los Coches Creek and Tularcitos Creek in Milpitas. Volunteer service hours are available for students, as they are required for most schools.
We hope to see you all there. Remember to wear long pants and sturdy shoes, and bring your own reusable water bottle to stay hydrated. Register today, by visiting http://bit.ly/CCD2018SCC
