Fire Chief's Message
A quote from leadership guru Peter Drucker that "you can either be the architect of change or the tenet of the results" certainly applies to today's fire service leadership. There is an opportunity - even an imperative, some may argue - for fire and emergency service leaders to fundamentally reexamine their service-delivery paradigms through analytical and service-delivery processes that incorporate both community risk and expectations. The Milpitas Fire Department is committed to this data-driven, research oriented model for public safety decision-making within our community. We will continue to maintain transparency and objectivity as we look to craft program and processes that are aligned with the current economic landscape. We welcome the opportunity to justifY how we provide emergency service delivery to Milpitas as we continue to strive for an enhanced all-hazards approach to public safety.
