Portable Generators
Portable generators come in quite handy in providing a temporary source of electricity. Many generators are used in winter during power outages; but this same equipment can become a silent killer, when used incorrectly. Read the below article from the US Consumer Product Safety Commission about the dangers of using portable generators. When using a portable generator always follow directions from the manufacturer. Never run any generator in an enclosed area without the proper vents for fumes and exhaust to escape.
