The Housing Division responds to public service requests to ensure residential, commercial and industrial properties are maintained in accordance with City regulations, implements programs for neighborhood beautification, graffiti abatement, abandoned vehicles, shopping carts and animal control and administers the Community Development Block Grant program, housing rehabilitation loan program, and housing authority.
The mission of Homeownership Programs is to provide affordable housing opportunities by offering below-market interest rate mortgage loans to very low-to-moderate income first-time homebuyers. The Program strives to achieve availability of mortgage funds 365 days a year, an equitable geographic distribution of its loans throughout the state, and equal balance between newly constructed and resale homes. There are several unique features and programs offered which may fit the need of the prospective buyer.
