Street Maintenance

Street Maintenance provides regular and emergency street maintenance including the cleaning and repair of 138 street miles and sidewalks, including striping every 12 months and pavement markings every 18 months. This program provides for dead animal pick-up, graffiti removal and the sweeping of 11,600 street curb miles annually, maintenance of 7,250 street signs, 4,331 street lights, 68 traffic signals, 45 alarms, 2 electric roll-up doors, and 4 security gates.

Street Lights:

From time to time, our streetlights break after many months of dedicated work lighting our city streets.If you have a streetlight that is no longer working, you can e-mail us your service request or call the City's Public Works Streets Division at (408) 586-2600.

Please have an ID number (M-with four digits) and street location with the nearest cross street.

Street Signs & Signals:

Milpitas residents are encouraged to report any Street Signs and Street Signals that are damaged or require immediate repair.

Pothole & Repairs:

We want to make sure that driving on the City's streets is safe at all times. Thousands of automobiles use our city streets daily and over time our streets need immediate repairs.

Potholes eventually show up on our streets and we need your help to repair these street problems.
