Get Involved:
This is a great way for youth/teens to fulfill their community service hours - we can certainly put them to work!
Assistant Director Internships:
Rainbow Theatre has an internship program for high school students who want to learn more about direction and “behind the scenes” work. Students submit an application to be and assistant director and are taught by the director the basics of script analysis and blocking. The Assistant Director participants in casting, attends all rehearsals and is given the opportunity to run a supervised rehearsal, complete with blocking.

Crew:
Every production needs a crew! If you are a kid, ages 10-18, and interested in learning how to operate a light board, sound equipment, help with props and more, contact

Make-Up:
Do you have a talent for make-up and hair? We can always use help backstage with these two art forms.
Props:
If you like treasure hunting, you’ll love being a prop master! We give you a list and a budget and you find the right pieces for our shows!
Sets:
We can always use help painting and building sets. If you can swing a hammer, drop us a line!
Costumes:
If you like fashion, you’ll love costuming!
All volunteers are processed through the Milpitas Volunteers Partner program.
