The garage is shown at right, behind the library’s civic entry plaza.  Scroll down for a selection of construction photos.

The Midtown East Parking Garage was completed in September 2007, but will not open for public use until the library opens.  Parking will be free with extended hours beyond library operating hours to encourage people to park and walk to Midtown businesses and restaurants.

Special features will begin a visitor’s learning adventure inside the garage.  Display areas of historic branded boards from the black smith shop once on this site, a location for “Leapin’ Lena”, Milpitas’ historic fire engine, and a Milpitas history timeline will be displayed on the first floor.  Wayfinding graphics will appear on upper floors.
