Fall Mini Guide – Live Online, It’s Remote Recreation!

Since the Shelter In Place Orders due to COVID-19, our staff have been proudly wearing our “Community Services” hats in more and different ways than usual in support of the safety and well-being of our Milpitas community. We’ve been providing uninterrupted service of “To-Go” lunches to seniors at the Senior Nutrition Program; supporting twice-monthly Food Distributions in partnership with the Second Harvest Food Bank and the Milpitas Unified School District; working closely with the Milpitas Fire Department’s Mobile Testing Unit and providing staffing support for the Santa Clara County Public Health Library and Pop-up COVID-19 testing sites;  and helping to spread the word about masking up, maintaining social distance, using parks safely, and so much more! But Recreation is still in our name! Now, more than ever, the community needs fun and healthy outlets and so we’ve built the start to a fun Fall! To keep up with our fast-changing conditions, we’ll be publishing a series of Mini Activity Guides, online, monthly, through the end of 2020! So, please peruse these pages for new ways to enliven your day, expand your experiences, and connect with others. And don’t forget, you can see this Mini Activity Guide and so much more at our Virtual Community Center at!
