Hello Sports Center Members,

We are excited to announce our Sports Center swimming pools are open for lap swimming and water exercise classes. Reservations are required, walk-in is currently not available. Reservations for Milpitas Residents will have priority. Staff shall screen all members for symptoms before entering the facility. The staff conducting the screening will avoid close contact with member, will wear face coverings during screening and throughout the remainder of check in procedures as required by the Health Officer Order for Face Coverings.

Lap Swim and Water Exercise

  • All lap swim and water exercise appointments start on the hour.
    • You may lap swim or participate in water exercise, for a maximum of one, 45 minute, appointment per day. If you make more than one appointment on the same day, staff will withdraw you from all appointment times except for the earliest.
    • Check-in will begin 15 minutes prior to your reservation time.
    • You must be age 18+ to register for lap swim and water exercise.
  • One (1) person per lane is allowed for lap swim, per the Santa Clara County Public Health Order.
  • Ten (10) participants are allowed for water exercise, per the Santa Clara County Public Health Order.
  • For lap swim, at check-in a lane is assigned to you at random.
  • If you require use of the ADA accessible chair lift, ask the lifeguard on duty for assistance.
  • For water exercise, you will be assigned to an area of the pool at random. If you require use of the ADA accessible chair lift, ask the lifeguard on duty for assistance.
  • CANCELLATIONS: Appointments may be canceled 24 hours in advance without penalty. Please call 408 586-3225, to cancel your appointment. If you have two (2) no shows, or cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice, your reservations for the next 2 weeks will be cancelled.

How to make an appointment:

  • You may make reservations one week in advance. If you are a Milpitas resident, you may make reservations on Monday at 8:00 am, and if you are a non-Milpitas resident, you may make reservations on Tuesday at 8:00 am for the following week. For your convenience, you may view the availability for the month, and reservations will take place on a weekly basis.
  • Appointments fill up quickly and are limited.
  • You must have a confirmed appointment and a valid membership before arriving for your appointment. If you are not a member you may pay the $10 drop-in fee. If you do not have any visits remaining, you must pay the drop in fee, or purchase more visits prior to being allowed in the pool.
  • Each appointment equals one visit. One visit per person, per day.

Purchase or renew a membership pass:

  • You may purchase or renew your membership pass at the time of your reservation, or over the phone by calling the Sports Center, (408) 586-3225, Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Please call (408) 586-3225 to gain access to your account to make reservations, if you are a current Sports Center member.

What You Need to Know to Use the Pool

  • Scan your current membership card upon arrival.
  • You must wear a mask at all times at the facility (entrance, pool deck, restrooms) except when swimming.
  • Come dressed to swim and be prepared to leave in swim attire. Locker rooms and showers are closed, per the Santa Clara County Public Health Order, and changing in the restrooms is not allowed.
  • A chair will be available for you by the pool, to place your belongings on while you swim.
  • In case of rain, please have your belongings in a water proof bag.
  • No equipment will be available for use, i.e. kickboards, pull buoys, water exercise dumbbells, and noodles. You may bring your own.
  • Always maintain social/physical distancing of at least 6 feet
  • Follow all staff directions and on posted signage
  • Do not come to the pool if you are feeling sick.
