Warning Sirens
The City of Milpitas has Warning Sirens in the NW and SW parts of Milpitas. If you hear the siren at a time other than its regular annual test which is announced on Radio AM 1620, Cable Channel 15, and the City Website:
- Stop what you are doing.
- Stay calm.
- Listen for possible voice announcements.
- Go to a safe place, close all doors and windows, turn off air-conditioning/heating.
- Turn on the radio or television, (such as 1620 AM, or Channel 15 on Comcast Cable) for important information provided by the City.
- Avoid using the telephone. Do not call 9-1-1, unless you have a life-threatening emergency.
The cities Teleminder service may be utilized to contact residents or businesses via the telephone with recorded emergency information.
