NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Milpitas City Council will hold public hearings on Tuesday,
February 5, 2019 at 7:00 PM in City Hall Council Chambers, 455 E. Calaveras Blvd., 2nd floor, Milpitas,
CA on the following two topics:
SEWER RATES: City Council will consider approving proposed sewer rates for Fiscal Years
2018-19 through and 2022-23. The City manages the collection system, and contracts with the
City of San Jose for the treatment of sewage generated from the homes and business in the City.
Rate increases by introduction of Ordinance No. 208.53 will also be considered in response to
recovering current and projected costs of the City’s operations and maintenance, infrastructure
improvements, and the cost to pay for the City’s share of the San Jose treatment plant operations
and infrastructure expenses.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN, pursuant to CA Government Code §65009, that any challenge of these
matters in court may be limited to raising only those issues raised at the public hearings on February 5,
2019 or in written or e-mailed correspondence delivered to the City Council at, or prior to, this hearing.
ANY PERSONS who wish to comment are encouraged to attend the public hearings or to submit
written comments to the City Council prior to the hearings. Written comments may be mailed or
