Join us on May 29, 2019 for an Affordable Housing and Building Safety Workshop that will include presentations by the City of Milpitas Department of Building and Housing and Project Sentinel.

The City of Milpitas Department of Building and Housing will explain the Below Market Rate (BMR) Program, which is designed to assist very-low, low- and moderate income households in becoming homeowners.

This presentation will detail the application process, eligibility requirements, and how you may qualify for a higher preference on the waiting list.

Project Sentinel will provide fair housing resources and detail the services they offer to the Milpitas community. These include Tenant/Landlord counseling and mediation, as well as fair housing counseling, advocacy and investigations.

The Department of Building and Housing will also present on building safety topics, including smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, earthquake preparedness, and how mold and mildew can be distinguished and prevented.
