NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that following its introduction on May 19, 2020, the Milpitas City Council
will consider the adoption on June 2, 2020 of Ordinance No. 305 entitled:
AN UNCODIFIED ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MILPITAS ESTABLISHING FEES
FOR AMBULANCE AND EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES
1. Ordinance No.305 which would establish fees for ambulance and emergency medical services. The
City of Milpitas Fire Department will provide 911 emergency medical and ambulance services pursuant
to a contract with the County of Santa Clara Emergency Medical Services Agency. The proposed
ordinance would authorize the Fire Department to charge fees to recover the estimated costs of
providing ambulance and emergency medical services.
2. This project is exempt from environmental review under the California Environmental Quality Act
(CEQA) pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15183 (Project Consistent with a Community Plan,
General Plan, or Zoning). Section 15061(b)(3) (Common Sense Exemption), and 15308 (Actions by
Regulatory Agencies for Protection of the Environment). Full text of this Ordinance is available on the
